Hi guys,

been having some terrible latency issues on the current server since i moved. I moved from shanghai to dalian and the ping is now insane at peak times. getting in the region of 1-2k ms now. Ironically I get around 400-600ms on the US servers. My net connection is good (for China) 3MB/s and that checks out as accurate. Is the problem simply that I'm not local to my server anymore or is it some netease mess? If its the former is there any way to transfer to a beijing server? All I could find with google translate is a page in battlenet that allows people to transfer for server balance and only selected servers, any help, ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated!

if your connection is good enough between dalian and taiwan, i think you should move to Twow then;).

I got the client and an account, its just such a ballache trying to pay for it, beside all my characters are here.

YEAH! finally, latency issues sorted, for anyone else with similar problems its down to the chimps at China Unicom, asking around other players have told me that Unicom sucks balls for online gaming and in particular WOW. I switched to telcom again and ping went from 9000-10000ms back to 200ms.
Unicom is nice for downloading but sucks for everything else...avoid!

China unicom doesn't offer highspeed I thought? Only telecom?

All internet is China is garbage anyways. I get a dc every 30 minuets on US servers from a half second internet loss.

i made some tries a few months ago and got 300-500 ms using a greatwall broadband 8M...

Didnt checked recently, might have changed ...

I use telecom 4M (highest in hangzhou) and I get 300-800 depending on the time, faster just not as stable as my Rui'an connection.
