Ok so there's been a lot of posts about installing and errors that come out of installing the latest patch. Here's how I do it and I manage to log in, even though I see an empty reamlist. However I do suggest that you backup ur original wow files in case your are using a modified client.

1. U need a 3.13 CTBC client.

2. DL the 3.22 patch, which is around 2.55GB. After download, this patch should be in a folder.

you will see a link with "(2.55GB)" on its tail. That's the one

3. Move that floder to where u install 3.13.

4. DL a 1.91mB patch. This is the 2nd part of the patch. Here's the link. http://bbs.ngacn.cc/read.php?tid=3622090&_fp=1
When you get in the page, find "AK-48 1.9MB第二部分补丁下载"。 That's the one.
After download, unzip it. You will see a folder. Get in the folder, copy everything, paste them into the 2.55GB folder. You might need to overwrite some files here.

5. Clear your addons.

6. Run installer.exe. During installation, the .exe will ask if you wanna overwrite 2 files, click install, or in chinese 安装.

7. Run wow.exe before you restart your PC.

I downloaded off the US installer and it installed 3.2.0 according to my roommate... can I use this and just mini patch to what the server is running? I am interested to see how it'll play out, but if I need to download just TBC then mega patch I'll be pissed.

You should download the little patches from 3.2.0 to 3.2.2a (10505). Thats it.
Then you follow the instructions here in the forum to run your client in China.

Igniter this thread is about patching the chinese client. Not sure you gonna get the right files here.

if you had a 3.1.3 modified version for the chinese realm you need to undo all the modifications, including restoring the original wow.exe etc files to be able to patch it. If you still got a 3.3.5 client just make a copy of it, delete the file /wow/data/patch.mpq and start a repair. That will reset your copy to a 3.0 wotlk and you can patch it from here. once at 3.2.2.a follow my guide. I've been playing just fine tonight.

yes. make a copy of your us client and then delete /data/patch.mpq and start a repair. That will downgrade it to 3.0. Then patch it from here. Use the links on the other guide. This thread is about patching the chinese client.

i'm getting an out of hard disk space error.
the 3.2.2 patch is saying that i need 16gb of free space to install the patch!!!
i have 8 partitions on 1 physical drive, and each is 20gb!!!
any way to work around this??

you have to merge some partitions. Why do you have 8partitions on a small 160go lol.

go into config panel->adminitrative tools->Computer gestion->disks gestion. Names might differ a little caus i'm on a french XP.

so it is 16GB. argh. so many obstacles!!!
