WARLORDS OF DREANOR - RELEASE ON 13.11.2014 FOR THOSE HAVING CONNECTIVITY PROBLEMS CHECK HERE! |

| | Sat 4 Sep 2010 - 11:01 # | Hello there, I'm a 21 year old student from Holland living in Shenyang, China where I will attend University for the next few years. I found this forum while looking for a way to play WoW in China. Since I have a crap MS with the EU and US servers I decided to play on the Taiwanese servers. I'm really excited to read that there even is a foreign guild on the Taiwanese servers! Since my Chinese is quite crap still, I was worried about not being able to find a nice guild. (as in cool people, Im not a progress/epeen whore ) I installed WoW and changed it to play on the Taiwanese servers, and I also made an account. (With the help from the guides on these forums) One problem though, the link posted to the Chinese fonts on filefront doesn't work correctly. When I click "download" on filefront it says the file may have been moved or renamed. So I am not able to see Chinese characters when I pick my server, I dont know which one is yours! If anyone has a solution for it it will be greatly appreciated. Really hope to be playing with you guys soon. Scott | | |

About the account, to upgrade it from trial, do I only need need to buy a timecard? No account CD-keys?
| | | Sat 4 Sep 2010 - 11:34 # | Hello and welcome.
You might consider to make another account to play also on the Chinese Servers. The ping will be better abd you dont need the VPN connection.

About the account, to upgrade it from trial, do I only need need to buy a timecard? No account CD-keys? Yes just add credit on it. I use this method to buy gametime https://wow-in-chinese.forum2jeux.com/taiwan-2148828771-realms-f5/stormscale-is-medium-transfer-make-a-toon-now-p15105.htm , it's very convenient. This is also for the Taiwanese realms? I tried to buy one at Offgamer, but it doesn't work with Moneybookers for some reason... You guys happen to know any other site? (I have a bank card, Paypal and a creditcard I can use for purchasing) Hahah the Finals... yeah what can I say... Spain deserved to win, we played realy quite foul. With some luck we could have drawn the game to penalties and win though. But I would not feel very proud about that match...
| | | Sat 4 Sep 2010 - 12:53 # | At least you get to be proud of something.. I'm french. | | |
| | | Sat 4 Sep 2010 - 13:09 # | Offgamer also didnt work for me, but for some others here it looks they dont like Dutch or German people : )
There are some other sides but dunno the link just google MyCard or WOW Taiwan game card. If you know chinese you can use taobao.
If there is no other option for you i can sell you one and you pay via paypal to me.

Ouch... I send you a PM stItCh. Oh and what you said about CN servers, I have a ping between 80 and 140 on the TW server. I am really surpised myself as I have China Tietong 2M as connection...
| | | Sat 4 Sep 2010 - 13:40 # | Tamoka my link is for taiwan, but you can also buy mainland gamecard through taobao For the ping on Taiwan, vpn is necessary when you do raids, dungeons and are in crowded cities (being stuck in dalaran and ogrimmar when it's crowded is a long and painful experience) but I haven't logged on Taiwan servers recently so maybe with the opening of Wotlk in china the network is smoother. | | |
| | | Sun 5 Sep 2010 - 7:15 # | Nice, I will try to buy on taobao soon then. Yeah my ping seems quite smooth. Can't imagine it will go much higher upon entering a Dungeon. But I read that the VPN's are quite affortable. On another note, how do-able/safe is it to buy an account for the TW servers? And what can I expect to pay for a decently geared lvl 80? Just considering it, since it will take a while reaching 80 if I start from scratch. Plus I cannot make up my mind about classes. I am stuck between Warrior, Rogue or a Warlock. I like most classes mind you, so if there is a class very underrepresented on the server, it might be interesting to chose that. | | |

| | | Mon 6 Sep 2010 - 12:20 # | A little update here.
I decided to play on the Chinese realms. Main reason being my study. I will study Chinese for the next few years. I remember that WoW has improved my English allot when I played it back home, so I am hoping it will have the same effect on my Chinese. I won´t learn the Trad. Characters which they use on the Taiwanese servers, so its less interesting for study purposes.
Also I saw the forums about the activity in the CN servers and it looks good.
Made an account for WoW CN, made my client ready with help from Bolomas´ post. So only need to score a gametime card from Taobao and Im good to go. (They will mail this to your Taobao email account, right?)
Probaly see most of you there! Thanks for the help in this thread!
| | | Mon 6 Sep 2010 - 13:07 # | Tamoka, as long as you live in mainland, you can buy wow CN gametime from any convenient store or newspaper shop. Just ask for 魔兽世界卡(moshoushijie ka), and they cost 30RMB for 60hours. | | |
