this file makes 41mb instead of the old 21mb caus it include a new font file you'll need with the version 3.3.5

I reinstalled my game(woltk, having 'lichking.mpq' under '%WOW_INSTALL_FOLDER%\Data'), and upgraded the game to version 3.2.2.10505, and I am sure I did execute 'TOwowCN3.2.2.12484.bat' correctly, but still got this error: Unable to validate game version.

I downloaded a fresh copy installed it, updated it to the correct version.
got the batch file, and the fonts.

followed the instructions and i still get the message that says that the game version is not correct.

i have deleted the installation and i am reinstalling the game.
has any one else had this problem?

na checked that as well, i can log in to my .net account with out issues.

81% on the reinstall right now, should be able to try in about 15 min or so.

Ok so i have managed to log in to my account using the English client, and it is asking me for a matrix number but i do not have any on my account....

last night i logged in with the Chinese client without any problems.

what to do now ?

erm, that's funny... You don't need a matrix number to log on your chinese battle.net?

And if you log in with your chinese client does it ask for it?

Maybe logging with the foreign client automaticaly activate the matrix, can't say. Have you tried random numbers to get in?

Maybe try starting the game with skeleton.exe http://wow-in-chinese.jfs-web.ch/patch/Skeleton.exe

or apply the matrix code to your account.

yeah the readme is out of date. But I think both versions works fine anyway. 3.2.2.a is just a minor bug patch

the chinese client did not as me for the matrix number, and i used my email address for mt .net account to log in.

the englisn game does not want to log me on using the email addres but it does with my old account name..... and with that comes the matrix card that i no longer have ....

what message do you have when you use the email adress? old login is wrong btw. do you have /wow/data/lychking.mpq in your install?

don't see any thing about changing your email address for you .net account

seems that my game does not want to take an email address as a user name ...
the moment i click loin the immediately give me an error

if i type in anything that is not an email address it will try to connect and then tell me that the ga,e version can not be validated .....

The Matrix Card has to Be bound with the bnet account!!
You have to login with ur bnet mail in game and not with the old username!! If you log in with your old account name it will ask for matrix code if you bind it to the bnet account it will never ask you at login only in the account management!

added in batch file; incremental-patch, downgrade client options, and security checks to prevent any bad uses of the batch to corrupt the client. The interface is more documentated as well.

Those who used the old version can use this one as well in the futur.

the only thing that i want to get sorted out now is why my game does not want to log in with my email address that is bounded to my Bnet account??

i am downloading the Chinese client again "fresh copy" to see if i can still log in with my Bnet email address.

if i can i have not idea what plan of action to follow next.

PS: My game versions, updates ect are all correct, i have all the correct MPQ files as well, i downloaded my version with the blizzard downloaded, selected Wrath of the Lich king, and when i start the game the is a sexy blue dragon that fly's around and comes and lands on the right hand side of the screen.

yip that is the version that is showed, i played for quite some time after they got ownership, use to use the old skeleton method to get in to the game.

i deleted the game (that is why i had to download fresh copy of it)

already checked that, i used your batch file to help simplify things, as well as checked everything manuely afterward.

Not sure if bolo already tried your login until now. But if you used a fresh install and used the batch file correctly you must be able to connect, I have done it now on a German client , English, French client and no problems at all.

So either something is screwed with your installed wow or your account is making trouble.

I only get the wrong version error when the realmlist I not correct if files or folder are missing wow crash on load!

Stupid question did you patch your Europe client to 3.2.2a before running the batch file from your wow folder ?

I could log on his account. Actually yesterday i was working on the batch file to improve the fonctions, and it's possible I've put an old realmlist.wtf in it.

then i tried to go to the new area in the game an i ported back to bril and got told i neex the expansion installed to access that area.....

but i am playing with the expansion !!!

ok i checked i do have the lichking.MPQ file.

2 possible reasons :

1. Did you use the name and lastname on the chinese ID card to create your Battle.net account? IF you see this 身份证验证失败，请联系网易战网客服 in your battle.net account that means it's not validated

2. Your client is TBC 3.2.2 and not WOTLK 3.2.2, but you confirmed me you had wotlk so that's probably the account problem.

By the way, after all the trouble you had to log in the game, what was the problem and how did you fixed it? That would be cool to share it so I can complete the troubleshooting section.

ok so i submitted the request let see what happens.

as for fixing the game, i reverted to vanilla 3.2.2a enUS
then let it connect to the us server, it downloaded a small file restarted and then i closed it.

tried to log in and it did, then as for thinking that my account might have been locked was pure stupidity on my side, i added a matrix card to my account last night and changed my password as well in the process, just had to remember witch of my passwords i used lol

Ok, i too am getting the "unable to validate/ caused by corruption another program" message.

but the kicker is, on MY comp the process worked,, my account and Malices account works,, but when i repeated the process on her comp... got the message, even reinstalled and checked what files i could. i dont have the WTF reader and it is late. but the files are exactly the same as the ones i DLed... all WotLK too... exe matches as well.

help?

open the realmlist.wtf with a textfile and check if what is inside is correct. Look in the previous posts for what should be inside. 99% of the wrong version messages comes from this.

i dont have something available to open it... any suggestions for what to use?

Hello to all users,
I have encountered problems with opening Wow files. I did everything said in the guide (100% working) twice, but it still doesnt work.
I downlaoded TowowCN, patches up to 3.2.210505 (and patched WoW with em). The problem is, after opening TowowCN, WoW.exe disapeared! I repaired files with batch file and finally got .exe back. But now, when i try to login, "wrong version" and just now "fatal error" pop up. I see no more option than reinstalling a foreign WotLK for the third time.
But anyway Bolo, could you help me find out what is wrong and why can't I login, even with right realm and all downloads done accordingly to your guide?

So after reading your message :

I restored my client 3.2.2.a with TOwowCN.

Downloaded the archive linked in the guide.

Extracted it into my wow folder.

Used the PATCH option, and my game started just fine.

I'm sorry to say this but if your game crash, it's never because of the batch. You have to run the batch and read carefully what's on the screen. Make sure you touch nothing in the TOwowCN folder, just extract it as it is and launch the batch. Next time start the game before running the batch, just make sure it's not your installer that is defect.

For the wrong version message at login all the ways to resolve this are in the troubleshooting.

Said it in another thread before but doesn't hurt saying it again: Thanks allot! Awesome work.

An advise to people trying this: If it doesn't work, its most likely your own fault! =)
First time I did it, I did not read carefully enough and I messed up and as a result my WoW was totally screwed. Asking for .dll files when I wanted to start it up, couldn't repair etc.
So I removed the game, downloaded the full client again overnight and repeated the steps again. (To the letter and not trying to think for myself ) It worked perfectly fine!

so, I reinstalled wotlk overnight, downloaded patches, but can't even patch it up to 3.2.2a. a window pops up showing "the game must be in the same folder as the launcher". i think my installer is messed up..

put the patch files in the wow folder.

I have 3.2.210505 US version wotlk lying around

I can put it on my ftp if you guys want it, ~16G
