The first part of the ICC patch for the Chinese client is 625MB, and there is more to download. It will be some version of 3.3.5.

So I was wanting to get prepared for my foreign client and wanted to download some patches.
The current chinese version is 3.2.2.12484, the foreign version is 3.2.2.10505.

If I try to upgrade through the launcher or game itself, it will start downloading 4.xx. So we need to download each patch and install manualy.

My goal is to have the patches up to 3.3.5.12213 (which is the first 3.3.5 patch). Then when we know the correct version we can install them and maybe have to download only a few MB more.

Can someone with more knowledge check the below patches and tell me if all will be necessary to install or if some can be left out. Unfortunately I can not access www.wowwiki.com
Not all the patches have the whole version number so I am not sure if they are needed or not.

Here is the list of patches I found:
- 3.2.2a to 3.3.0 (about 477MB big) NO VERSION #

- 3.3.0 to 3.3.0a (5.43MB big) versions 3.3.0.10958 to 3.3.0.11159

- 3.3.0a to 3.3.2 (about 180MB big) versions 3.3.0.11159 to 3.3.2.1403

- 3.3.2 to 3.3.3 (about 176MB big) NO VERSION #

- 3.3.3 to 3.3.3a (about 5MB big) 3.3.3.11685 to 3.3.3.11723

- 3.3.3a to 3.3.5 (about 20MB big) 3.3.3.11723 to 3.3.5.12213

you can use a proxy service like ktunnel.com to access the website.

As for your question : if you are patching from 3.2.2.a you can use 3.2.2a → 3.3.0 Incremental Patch (~680-800 MiB) and then 3.3.0 → 3.3.5a Incremental Patch (~370 MiB)

good that i have all patches up to 4.0.3 on my backup HDD.

Is there a specific mirror for the incremental patches? i am only finding sites with the little patches.

Muhan, I have the same collection as you but all the files are a different size... Are yours still in zip/rar format ? Mine are all wow installer files.
To compare the numbers:

mine is 122MB
- 3.3.3 to 3.3.3a (about 5MB big) 3.3.3.11685 to 3.3.3.11723
mine is 4.72MB
- 3.3.3a to 3.3.5 (about 20MB big) 3.3.3.11723 to 3.3.5.12213
mine is 23.7MB

if you're using the US client, the difference is odd. If not then I just wasted my time making that comparison

Ok, got the incrementals,, wow patch in has them easy to get. line up the numbers and go!

now to wait for instructions and hope there isnt a catch...

with vtunnel, ktunnel etc. I can't even see the page with the old patches, allways gives me the above mentioned CGI error.

for your foreign client you need to patch it yourself up to 3.3.5 (exact version number will come out later). so like bolo mentioned before you need to have the 2 incremental patches up to 3.3.5
The Chinese wow server can NOT do a automatic update for foreign clients.

We need to know the exact version first and then we probably need a workaround for foreign clients.
Don't worry, just wait and check the forum for news...

I tried apply the Patch 3.2.2a to 3.3.0 but than i get the error, that i already have a newer version 3.2.2.12484.

So i try to downgrade what is not working too.

so is there a Patch 3.2.2.12484 to 3.3.0?

maurjin if u used the batch file to fix your client you simply need to start it again and select RESTORE. Then you ll be able to patch again. 3.2.2.12484 means you still have the chinese files and modified filesnames applied to your client.
