we may have a solution coming to our apartment tomorrow around 3-4... but big if,, otherwise it is streaming client tomorrow night after 10 if speed stays constant.

Install the PC version of the US client on your PC, then copy the Data folder with everything that's in it from your Mac to your PC. (Copy only the Data folder nothing else)

And then run the launcher once to finish updating the client.

If the launcher says you're missing the base-Win.MPQ when updating the tools you can download it from
http://ak.worldofwarcraft.com.edgesuite.net/wow-pod-retail/NA/12911.direct/Data/base-Win.MPQ

After you get the 4.2 client working on your PC you can follow the steps to log in on the Chinese servers.

I've streamed and installed the ENTIRE WOW files yesterday -
edited everything to the dot.

and i tested it this morning --- i've got to say,

Same here. Awesome job and thanks to all you of guys working out this problem.
I noticed that the eng client runsmuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch better than the chinese client. Dont know why

OH and the graphics! dear god when i loaded my chinese version it was like looking through the windshield of a car after june bug season started and you only had enough wiper fluid to smear a thin layer over the glass... fuzzy and off coloured... grainy...
really, why dont the chinese players steal foreign clients and crack them to play here!?!?!

Guys, all the clients are exactly the same ^^, that was probably your setup who wasn't the same.

@scir : no it only works with windows. I don't think China mainland has any mac client. You have to use bootcamp if you are a mac user.

In fact, deleting or moving wow-update-base-14333.MPQ is not necessary, because Chinese WoW.exe has a revision of 14250, less than 14333. So 4.2's update MPQs will NOT be loaded because WoW only load MPQs whose revision is less or equal than its main executable.

Just thinking....should the enGB version be this?

You need change Data\(your locale)\realmlist.wtf to

set realmlist cn.logon.warcraftchina.com
set patchlist enGB.patch.battle.net:1119/patch
set realmlistbn ""
set portal cn

Or does this not matter (kinda trying to clear it in my mind before i go home and mess it up haha)

EDIT: In game and everythings looking good so far. Haven't tried to do a dungeon yet but it seems tickety boo to me.
