Hey guys so I installed wow cataclysm, played for a week with my druid 80 and even created a new character on CN1 where you fellas play and due to the lag I installed 27net on trial! today I tried connecting to wow with the proxy already running and while logging in I received a message telling me: "Our login system has detected a problem in your access pattern. In order to protect your account we require you verify your identity and change your password via our web site. For more information..."

So I followed their instruction and went to battlenet.com.cn to login to check what was going on. while logging in there I received the same message in chinese.



So I followed their link again and it led me to this page:





Now with google translate I understood that by following the link in step 3 it would lead me to the password reseting procedure, so as a quiet person I clicked and got to a new page where it asked me my email, my first and last name (the ones corresponding to the chinese ID I entered during the registration process and an image password. I filled everything as asked, and pressed enter which lead me to another page where it asked me the following: Which hospital were you born in?



Now, I am using my friend's AYI's ID and he fired her a few months ago so I don't see myself calling her and asking which hospital was she born in! Did it happen to any of you before?
What shall I do? is there is any way out of this? I'd really love to keep my 80 druid! and my two 30 kuai cards that I just bought yesterday!

I believe you can try this. You'll need to get a new ID, and tell them you made a mistake in signing the ID. Send me a pm or post here if you need more help.

thanks for the quick answer but I was wondering, if I change my ID i might still be stuck with the same problem! because their request is for me to change the password, which will stay the same even after the ID change won't it?

That's weird, isn't it the person who made your battlenet account who created this specific question? Maybe you should ask your friend.

For the blizzard identity check that's something they do when you log from different IP or regions.

And I strongly recommend to get a close friend that give you his approval to use his ID, that helps for those kind of situations. If you ever have a problem with your account Netease will ask you a good quality scan of the ID used.

I tried filling in the answer to the question with what I would have written during the registration, like Beijing or my own birth place but without any positive results. So i am guessing they somehow trace your ID to your personal information and allow themselves into your life.
I have the good quality scan of this ID because I already went through the process of changing it last year.

It's just a standard security question like "What's your mother's maiden name?"

It would have been set when the account was registered and the answer to the question is whatever the person registering entered as the answer. Unless they forgot, they should be able to give you the answer.

I registered my own account, and I tried every answer that I would have written, and when you try to create a new account they don't ask you for any security questions. So it is obviously not my answer their looking for but the real one!

100% sure that the secret question is created by the battlenet account owner. I have screenshots on my computer that confirms that. Also pretty certain netease won't go ask every administrations in China for such kind of informations about their battlenet account owners. We are talking about millions of subscribers.

Next time don't forget to write the answer somewhere just in case ^^. Maybe do more try by taking care of CAPS and stuff, caus I believe those answers are case sensitive. Otherwise you'll have to use the forms on battlenet support webpage to unlock the situation.

They still ask for a secret answer, 5th line of the form "安全问题及答案"

Holy shit! The same thing just happened to me. I've used the 27net proxy before without problems but after I wiped my computer and reinstalled it (the icon is different than before) I got the same message. Even the follow up question with the hospital is the same. WTF?? I kinda figured that my account was stolen so I decided to log on with my (current)gf's account and BAM! the same frigg'n thing happened to hers!! I am royally pissed.

My original account was created under my ex-gf's name and think i'll be up shit creek on this one. But it was strange that when i entered her name into the form that it told me the email address and the name don't match. I'm sure i entered her name 100% correctly. After a few attempts it went to that screen with the hospital question. Be damned if i'm gonna call her up and ask her that!

The hospital question is the first one you can select from the list, that's probably why you got it too.

Kinda reminds me to change my secret question too caus I don't remember what I've put there either lol.

If you can't reset then try to resubmit with your current gf ID and ask the customer service to reset your password

Exact same problem I had with 27.net. Luckily I had all the information available and was able to recover my account.
I think a warning should be stickied about using 27.net (or other tunneling services) to prevent others from having their accounts locked.

Kinda feel your pain, I lost an account with 6 lv 70 chars on it caus I forgot the login and password after not using it for a year.

Now I always take note of those things, lesson taken ^^

for 选择一个产品 select 战网 and for 选择一个类别 select the last option 账号修复/密保解除

You have to fill it and send the scan of the ID as an attachement. then you select "安全提示问题和答案修改" Which means reset secret question. You can change your password or email via this form too.

The change should be done within 24 hours, and it shouldn't require any further interaction with the netease customer staff.

Got mine back! Just needed the name and ID # to do it when you call in. Really lucked out there after finding my ex's ID from an old email. I tried Uru's link there but it didn't work at all, got a reply in 5 minutes saying "Sorry we can't help you"
