im pretty keen to start playing but my internet at colledge seems quite slow

i ran a tracert on "cn1.grunt.wowchina.com", i know that doing this only shows you logon ping not your in game ping, but the results can be seen below

im not all that sure how to analyse a tracert...if it gets 13 hops then times out is that bad? if no one can help can you guys who play of chinese servers at least psot your tracert results, so i can kinda of compare

tracert will try to ping all hops.
you get a timeout at some hops because basically it might be a firewall not replying your ping

Seeing where you get out of your lan, i guess you are in sichuan province.
ping should be fairly fine. Zarda (friend) plays even on guangdong server from there.

ping the server directly doesnt do much. even i dont get a reply.
to know if it is your college or your diestance (geographical), i suggest you go into a netbar once (usually have good connections), and try to logon and play from there, even with chinese client, just to check pings.
universities may ahve bad pings depending on daytime because of all students using the net. good luck

PS: i loved it when i looked up your net-ip .......... the guy who registered it was on coke....
