So I'm slowly working my way towards 85 and while I would like to jump directly to the last and most recent end-game raid (Dragon Soul), that's probably not possible with my blues as a new 85.

I'll probably have to run a bunch of the entry raids/dungeons first, but having said that, I quit almost immediately after hitting 85 in the US and know NOTHING about any of the 85 raids or heroics.

So it seems there's:
Baradin Hold
Blackwing Descent
Dragon Soul
Firelands
The Bastion of Twilight
Throne of the Four Winds

I plan on eventually going back and learning them all (because I like to see all raid content), but in terms of "catching up" with the rest of the guild, what bosses/raids should I be researching now?


TL;DR: What raids should I be doing as a new 85 and when can I play with the grown-ups in Dragon Soul?

Baradin hold is a pve boss for pvp stuff.

i think actually nobody do older raid.
The way to get stuff is :
Random normal Dungeon : get fullstuff justice
when you have the ilvl to do
Random Hero Dungeon : get fullstuff justice
and then
Random New(dragon soul) hero dungeon.
After that you'll be able to do RaidFinder for Dragon soul.

do your weeklys for random normal as they give you 100+ justice as reward and they're fast.

you dont really need to do heroics cause after you finish getting some justice gear, you can hop into the hour of twilight instance randoms. a few runs and you should have some 378 gear, a few more runs and you may get almost full 378 haha. no need to worry about valor as hour of twilight instances give you 150 valor for weekly reward up to 7 times. you'll reach the cap =)

next you can do whatever you want. for content and to learn some fights, you would want to join the dragon soul raidfinder. you may wipe some but its quite easy to beat once you know the mechanics =) and of course our guild has plans for raids and stuff that you can join in.

dont worry too much getting gear, blizzard already made it super easy haha

I will suggest your progression path as

Random normal dg -> heroics random dg (until u have ilevel 372) -> random looking for raid and get ur gear up to around (378+) then i think u might be good to go.

Doing the other raid are pretty pointless at this moment (unless for achievement) for example all Fireland (hardiest in previous tier) drops gear at level 378 and now even a random 5man dg drops the same level of gear.
