Mmmm..... hi.

Looks like I'm the new guy. Been in China about six months now, and kinda miss English speaking gamers. I used to work for Best Buy buy back in the States and played WoW with a tight crew. Now I got nothing but League of Legends.... in Chinese. Found the site here and hope I can roll wit yaz.

I used to be pretty hardcore with my MMOs... played EQ1 for 10 years and have played almost every other MMO that came out since then. I loves to play me some support... in WoW this happens to be healer. I like Resto Shaman, but might try a priest. We shall see. I DO wanna play a panda whenever they make it to China.... coz nothin beats fat and happy.

I'm downloading the client right now, so hope I can be in game by tomorrow night or so. =p

LoL NA can be played here, albeit with like a 180ish ping. Way better than playing it in Chinese though.

Sona is the only toon that gets better with lag. =p I actually do really well on Chinese servers.. can't read anything, but I'm a beast with most characters and it plays the same as USA. =p

You know there's a fix to play in English on chinese servers, right?

welcome chrony! Kewl to have another healer Yep the enlgish game works on chinese server, there is a fix guide in the tech thread.

We are a pretty casual but fun guild. If you like pve/raid. We do it about three nights a week with rotating extra players in (we sometimes have more than 10ppl wanting to come) No DKP system. Roll/Officers coucil.

This is pvp month in guild if you like that. Rated bg is about 2-3 nights a week.

Check calendar regularly for guild events.

Also (if you haven't yet) visit our guild rules page. Some info about YY (like vent) and other tid bits

Indeed. Just realized you meant "League of Legends NA" instead of "LOL NA". Thought you meant you could play on US servers with relatively low ping.

If this appears to be confusing, I, in fact meant that you can play WoW in english on Chinese servers and not League of Legends.

i play LoL NA almost 4 times a week with a couple others,, 180 ping is still great for being here and has little effect on the game. 250 is where you get dicy

So I am in game. Malthier; undead priest. Need to figure out who to give money to so I can have a "real" acct instead of free trial. For now, I'll level as a froob. =)

Well I have no idea, but some still play it, not so many as it was a couple of years ago, but the game's "Still Alive"

Any of those little side street shops in booths will have them bro ^^, if you cant find any, Samish will buy you one, the least Samish could do, as this community has helped Samish out alot, without TCW Samish would not know where He would be in China .

Chrony most newspaper shops got them, in shanghai at least, as well as some convenient stores. Ask for moshou shijie ka 摩兽世界卡 they cost 30RMB for 60 hours.

First time i went to my local newspaper place i took a picture with me. Then i learn how to say it properly it was no problem.

Now when i approach he just asks me "how many?"

Two Chinese boys in my building decided to "help" me.I gave them 50 kuai and the they bought time on taobao... now they don't know how to "give the money to my game" lol

I'm hooked up! Had to talk on QQ with the taobao folk and tell them to apply to card to WoW1 on my acct I guess.

Who's brains do I eat to get a guild invite? =p

Nonono... you can apply game time to an acct using email addy. I didn't give them any info other than email address and that the time should go to WoW.

I see from your profile that you're in Hangzhou, and the picture looks a little like the Alibaba office. Are you, perchance, working with Alibaba?

Oh, and I hope they gave you some change from the 50 kuai. Game cards are only available in 30 kuai (4000 min) and 15 kuai (2000 min) options. On Taobao, the 30 kuai cards can be bought for about 27.5 kuai.

Haha.. the pic is actually at a sushi bar... me and a friend had a quick-draw phone picture shoot. He won. I'm just a lowly English teacher.

I got 2 cards worth of time for 50 kuai... well.. 5.5 days worth of play time.
