I tried logging in today, and it keeps asking me to patch, but when I do, it says "Game is up to date"

Anyone having this issue?

My old solution : copying your old backup and patch it with wow launcher works ( i have a backup of 5.3 or 5.4 not sure ), give it a try. But someone said that replacing your wow.exe with cwow's also work.

Same problem here, "up to date" but patch required..

I am having the same issue. It happened to me last year as well.

One solution said to turn router off for an hour. It seemed to work. But just tried it and no luck....

anyone having any better luck???

I had the problem last week, and fixed it as someone here gave a link towards a fixed wow.exe file

If that someone hears this call..

if someone has a fixed mac file would be nice also.

I just update chinese client, used the chinese wow.exe and it worked..

can someone upload the latest wow.app, wow-64.app, and wow launcher.app for the mac

OK after a very long reinstall i am back on hurrah ! ;-)

And again, patch time :/ It asks to patch, and then says it's "up to date".

Can anyone post the link towards the new wow and manual patch download?

Samish just moved the Chinese files to the English client, seems to be working now ^_^.

Unfortunately the links don't work for me.. Damn patches :/

This solution *may* work and shouldn't cause any trouble. I had a different error with the battle.net client and this basically resets back to default.

Close any Blizzard programs, then delete the battle.net data folder, which can be found in the following locations:

Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Battle.net
Windows Vista/7/8: C:\ProgramData\Battle.net

After that, try it again and hopefully it will let you update.

Ouch! I used the files Samish linked and I'm back up on both my Chinese and US client. Seems like this one has been a bit of a mess with people getting different results. Thanks to everyone, as usual, for keeping us up and running. Good luck!
