Hi Everyone,

I've been silently using the translation page for some time I'm a Canadian living in China (Chengdu), 4 years now, and have been an avid WoW addict since it first betad in the states.

I have made 6 60s on various servers in US - mostly hopping around to visit old friends and try to find a guild who raided odd hours (to match china timezone), but was quite unsuccessful in that endeavor and ended up messing up my work times doing overnight raids. Some months ago I moved to China servers.

I've made a 60 shaman on some server, then a warrior on another, then some coworkers asked me to join them on 3区, 红云台地 where I play a 60 warrior (prot spec) intended for raiding, but my coworkers have stopped playing much and now I find I'm often doing nothing waiting for a public G raid to open up in Orgrimmar (YAWN).

I was interested if any people here play on my server?

If not, I am willing to relocate and create a new character on another server (preferably one with Raid / PVP as focus). I'd likely want to play a mage, being the only class I've not played to and through 60.

Suggestions?

Do you have crew who raid much? Or at least instance (even though there's not a lot of point 5manning when you can just G run instances to pick up better gear, it's still fun )? Have chinese friends/guild friends who can or intend to run 20/40mans with, or often start up PUG raids?

I'm interested, just hoping that this re-creation wont end up being a disappointment I'll bust out a new mage today there anyways, and see how it is. Will post name in about 3 hours!

yes. in chinese guild (we are the strangest guild on the server).
even besides that we run instances with friends.
and the more of us there are, the better. especially if TBC has 5-10 man, we can raid way more without them also.

see above, YES.

see (again) first point, yes. in chinese guild, can get you added, if you speak some chinese basics, you shouldn't have problems.
besides them, "we" (i think we are now about 10+ foreigners) could raid as well, once they all get all online again. (few AFK)

I hope not a bad experience. I have a mage myself, happy to see people liking mages.... but there are MANY mages. you better be REALLY good to get fixed raidspots.
on the other hand, if you get to 60 before TBC, gear difference won't be that bad as by 70, you will re-gear as well as others.

If I join to play from BJ what would you think the ping would be?
Shanghai server1 sometimes gives craze pink like 2000+, current BJ server2, where I switched a week agao, ping is less than 100. Does anyone has any ideas? If ping is low I really would like to join an active guild.

1+4 are merged, so shanghai would be better for you than the 4 (guangzhou)..... you can connect to either, the realmlist is the same.

check pings regularly and keep in mind that usually 7pm - midnight is raidtime in china. so that time (esp on weekends) you should have highest peaks.

other than that? i dont know... chekc pings a few days, then chose
