Apparently, during the shanghai 1 update, its has been merged with guangdong 4.

It will now be free (no need to buy a new account) for those who want to reroll from one of these servers to another for the Crazy or the Cow Eaters.

But is it permanent or temporary?

There has indeed been a merge. I can see all of my characters on SH1 and GD4 on the same list. I was wondering what was goin' on when I wasn't required to buy another CDkey to play on GD4.

Now I'm curious if the time I have on both clusters will merge too? lol

Edit: Just checked my account over at the9. I had time on both SH1 and GD4...and the time has also been merged.

same way than server 3 and seven or 5 and 7 are merged.

that means 1) we will now compete on a 1337 realmlist
2) i have already had my WSG BG PVP matches against full groups of full T3 (no shitting, FULL T3) groups... about all fo them.... and they got pwned.... gnihihi. so this means fun.
3) if char transfers are allowed, we will get some new population to /spit on in org... hehehe

There is one situation that players should be aware of. It is that when you merge 2 servers together e.g. in this case Shanghai and Guangdong. Transferred Characters will NEED to change their name if there is already a character with same name there. In my case for example; my character is in guangdong server, and if there is also a character named Luna on the Shanghai side and my realm and server is gonna be transfered to there I will need to change my name because there is a level 1 mule named Luna created there......goddamnit

But names like Naklin, Deadanus aint common so no worries for you two, but Zarda is also a semi-common name...

our MT (the fucktart) deleted his char PRE-server merge.
now he wants it back from the9.
can't get it back.
apparently name in use now... ROFLMAO.

So his toon is on the recycle bin of the old (physical) server.
Maybe he can get the guy with the same name on to get it deleted, then moving his toon to there; that could be the only option.
