just checked on the main page of www.wowchina.com

even if my chinese is crap, i can understand that the tomorrow's patch will chage us to 2.1.3 (6904) ... for chinese version of course !
as i'm playing on US version, i wanted to download this new patch to be ready for tomorrow afternoon...holly s..t this patch does not exist for the US/FR/DE version...is it a new "EVIL PATCH" ?

unfortunately, this is another new "EVIL PATCH". on the us severs, it is 2.1.3(6869). but the one in china is 2.1.3(6904).

this new EVIL PATCH is for modifing undead's model to make them have more flesh,OMG

versions with a number between () can be normaly solved by using a chinese exe file. The "evil patch" was a diferent number:

evil patch: 1.12.3(cn) 1.12.2(US)
THIS PATCH 2.1.3(6869) 2.1.2(6904)

It already hapened in the past and we just had to change exe file

Let's hope it will work as usual.

build number != version numbers
the undead already have more flesh. the corpses already are tombstones in the CHN client.
they cant add more flesh than they already have now.

usually, build numbers were solved by adding the chinese .exe instead of the english .exe
problem might be if it looks for specific files inside the MPQ files and wont find them in our version. then it becomes an evil patch.

lets cross fingers.
a second simple modification might help for this.

but i wait, see what comes and then will work on it.

I can confirm that the Chinese exe permits you to pass the game version validation.

the9 says that game will be up at 17h tonight

can you post the chinese client up so for those of us that doesn't have the chinese verson of the game can play without downloading the 4.5G file?

windows.exe
you need to run wundows in a VM (virtual machine) process, while replacing your normal windows.exe with a chinese windows.exe from windows 95 （chinese version).
you rename your original windows.exe to wowloader.exe, while the windows 95 exe file from china emulates the loopback filter mode to disable version checking, enabling wow to run in protected opengl mode.

bam, you are in the game.

keep english one, when you have to patch next time your english client.

about chinese client exe: how about we post it. yes, we WILL post it.

how about you download the chinese client and install it next to your english client, because IF we have an evil patch, the files needed might be too big. we all did that pain in the bum thing to download it.
if thats too much to ask of, then go to a netbar with a usb disk and ask them kindly to copy wow, they will do it (did it for me).

i wanted to make my point about the fact that if anyone reads this thread, there is everything in it.
replace the english exe with chinese exe. later on someone asked (with reason) which exe, and Dead confirmed it was wow.exe .

no more secret to it.

Maybe some people are asking for the file because they do not have Cn WOW installed??? If some people have cn wow installed on thier PC's already how hard is it for them to share it with others?? Instead you say "because i installed cwow, you have to do it too" and u can keep goin in frenzy mode as much as u like. its easy to act tough on the internet!
