apparently Tseric, the Character manager in charge of the shaman class for the latest patch abandoned them; the effect was that the shaman didn't receive the appropiate changes and tweaks.
Tseric then became berserk banning one shaman after another, or so I read(ed).

and his work wasnt well received.
