I live in China and my brother is in the UK. We would like to play together but i lag to much when i try and play Euro WOW and he lags too much when he plays China WOW. What about USA WOW?

Can you play USA WOW or is the lag too much? What is the latency? What do you guys think?

oceanic realms seem to be OK. It is USA realms but with autsralia time based players... I tried a little bit and the ping was OK.

Maybe you and your bro could use the 10 days trial and see if it is workable.

$20 for WOW classic
$40 for WOW:TBC
total=~480 kuai
with this you get one month free after that you will pay $14.99 US per month to continue playing or you can buy 60 day time cards from ebay or the site below for around $30.

First you should know the US WOW service is only available to the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore.. Any connections to the US server from out of the regions mentioned above is not accepted by Blizzard and you would most likely be banned if they noticed you. If you really want to play on US server, I recommend you use a VPN or Socks5 to play, which can greatly reduce the latency and show your IP as an American IP.
However if you brother is in Uk, I suggest you ask your brother to establish a Socks5 server on his computer so you can connect to UK server faster. ( This is not guranteed cus it depends on the speed you connect to your brother's computer.)

Blizzard have taken several steps to prevent Chinese goldfarming in both US and EU. This include banning if IP's originating from China. You can connect to the login screen, but when you try to connect to the realm it will burn.

At least that is my experience from 6 months ago when I spend a few weeks getting my old EU char working.

Those are NOT random thoughts but facts based on the fact that in the last month more than 1 thousand accounts from China were frozen by Blizzard. Of course there exist lucky guys such as you who was not noticed, but that doesn't change the overall situation. Besides, the Blizzard service part was copied from the blizzard official website, if you don't believe me, just look for it there.

So it's confirmed by Blizzard that they're actively preventing Chinese players from using the US WoW? :S

How much MS are we talking about anyway? In the area of 100 or more? (I've played EU with latencies as low as 300 during the night).

From Taiwan, my traceroute to the US login server is a bit over 400, and in-game latency fluctates from 400 to 700 depending on server load.

I currently live in Taiwan (Danshui) and play on the US Thrall server. I am raiding Mount Hyjal and Black Temple, with 5 / 4 bosses down respectively. However, the lag I get sucks. 350-500 off peak, but as high as 1000 at peak times.

I played Taiwan WoW, and loved it cos I have bought the character and did not have to level. Then BC came out and I couldnt quest because I didnt understand anything.

Would be nice to try this site's method of using US wow on Taiwan servers and have someone to level with. I pretty much know every aspect of the game inside out, and have beaten all but 5 bosses in the game, even Archimonde, last boss of Hyjal.

Let me know if you are interested. BTW, if you want to check my Shaman out, he is called Zakano, Limited Order guild, Thrall PvE. Personally, I wanna level on a PvP server witha rogue. I have one, but it sucks with lag. On a local server it would be sweet, even from scratch.
