use the english version. you have to get all your updates from the U.S. and change the file in your wow directory where it lists servers to the chinese server you want to play on (im not at home so cant help you with that but there should be a guide on this website)。 In addition i reccomend making two server files, one for the chinese server and one for back home/updating, just add a few numbers after the file name your not using and leave it in the directory, switch them back and for when updating/playing.
Any questions just post them, i do nothing at work and am glad to help.

Find the realmlist.wtf file in your wow directory. Open it with wordpad. Change it to "set realmlist cn1.grunt.wowchina.com"
Actually that is the one for Shanghai servers. I believe the beijing one is the same its just not "cn1" its "cn2" maybe? I'm not sure. Anyone else wanna let him know?

If you want to see the Chinese characters instead of just seeing ????????????? you have to find the wow fonts for china and put them in your wow directory.
ok, i will try to make this work, i will prolly come back to ask more questions about the game, since i really dont know anything about computer besides the very basic things.
