Hey this guide is for European and American versions of the game.

I just installed my World of Warcraft 1 week ago and run through some problems. Thats why I make this guide for all of you which is more up to date. Once U registered your account you need to do only 3 things:

First Install the game and make sure its up to date. ( this is the european version So you need a european wow account if you dont have look on torrents or google for install files). Also whenever a new update of the game comes you need to switch back to the european or american server to Download it, whenever wow gives the error that it cannot validate your game version it means your game is not up te date!

Second I used This Launcher and add the IP address of the server to it:
cn1.grunt.wowchina.com ip：121.14.80.113 ( SHanghai )
cn2.grunt.wowchina.com ip：61.135.184.115 ( Beijing )
cn3.grunt.wowchina.com ip：125.64.38.112 ( Sichuan )
cn4.grunt.wowchina.com ip：121.14.80.114 ( Guangdong )
cn5.grunt.wowchina.com ip：121.14.86.109 ( Shanghai )
cn6.grunt.wowchina.com ip：61.135.184.116 ( Beijing )
cn7.grunt.wowchina.com ip：125.64.38.113 ( Sichuan )
cn8.grunt.wowchina.com ip：121.14.86.115 ( Area 8? )

: For me I live in Guangdong but added the first Shanghai server and the second Beijing server to play with Cow Eaters my average latency is about 60 so good


Third Install the language pack that can be found Here! and extract it to your WOW directory

The only thing you need now is a Chinese account you can use THis Guide to make one yourself or go to an Internet Cafe to ask if those guys can help you.

Realm Alliance side.

I've upgraded your post as a sticky so that it can stay permanently on top of the forum.
But I'm deleting the double post.

I copied my XP install directory that works to my Vista machine, and it starts up but when I try to sign on it says "cannot connect".

I try to ping cn1.grunt.wowchina.com at the address in the previous post, and it finds the address in DNS (resolves it to cn4...), but it times out.

This must be a vista problem since my XP box on the same network works, but I don't know how to add networks or whatever on vista. Or is there something strange going on?
