Saw some posts for the EU version, but is the only way to get the English version off a torrent site? I'm worried if it's an illegal copy that it won't run properly while playing on the Chinese servers.

Blizzard's site only has trial downloads for original and TBC, so as far as I know there is no "clean" version.

And can more people verify that:
WotLK US + Latest US Patch + Chinese 3.0.5 exe = Running US game in China?

It will work just fine and it isn't illegal to download it off torrent sites as you are still paying for a key.

A question...

A friend gave me a copy of WoW in English on a dvd(it's actually 4 cd images).
I installed fine, now it's updating file by file, as I speak it's the second 465Mb that is downloading.

My question: In the end will I have the full Wotlk version?
WoW+TBC+Wotlk

If so I would only have to change the realmlist to make it connect to chinese servers, then overwrite the wow.exe ad launcher.exe with the chinese versions (i have wow in chinese working fine on my machine).

Am I missing something?

I need help!

I did what I thought were the correct steps... install, update,and copy the chinese wow.exe, but it did not work!

I have version 3.0.5 installed but when i run the game I get "unable to validate version..."

any ideas?

I had copied over the chinese wow.exe too soon, I still need to update my copy of wow. now i am downloading 2.4.0, 923MB!
