Hello everybody !!!

First let me introduce myself, I'm a french guy, 24 years old and I have been living in Shanghai since 1 month now. (Xu Jia Hui, Nandan Lu/ Caoxi Lu).
So first if someone could reply me in french in order to give me some explaination it will be easier. However, thank you everybody for your help

So in France I was a Wow fan (Shadow priest). Now I am in China, new PC and originals CD of WOW and WOW BC Not installed yet.

Where to begin? Apparently there is a lot of patch etc... I am a little lost in all these problems. Someone could give all the steps in order to quickly play?

Concerning the step :

- Install wow in english via my original.
- Install wow in english BC via my original.
- Download wow WOTLK via http://www.wow-europe.com/shared/downloads/protected/InstallWoW_enGB/InstallWoW.exe
- Install it in English. But how does it works for the CD key?
- I want to play in English so which is the last patch?
- Realmist updating
- Create an account ( with yours dedicated topics)
- Buy a card at Family mart.

That's all?

Tu as bien résumé les étapes. Pour l'installation de wotlk je ne pense pas que tu aies besoin de le faire dans la mesure où l'extension n'est pas encore sortie ici.

En ce sui concerne les patchs, tu dois les installer jusqu'au 3.05 (l'actuelle version en Chine) mais pas après sinon tu auras un souci de version. Une fois que t'es a la bonne version tu changes le realm list. Inscription sur le site the9 avec une carte ensuite.

Enfin pense bien a remplacer le wow.exe par la version chinoise sinon ça ne marchera pas. Bon courage et à bientôt IG =)

Do you have a picture of this card? It will help me because actually I speak chinese as a 3 years child.

Hum, j'ai pas vraiment de photo. Après tu peux en acheter dans n'importe quel kioske à journeaux. Soit tu demandes à un chinois de te l'écrire ou tu prends la boite, tu la montres au vendeur et tu lui montre 30 kuais, ca peut marcher...

Le mieux c'est que quelqu'un te le traduise quand même.

Là-dessus je ne peux pas vraiment te renseigner. Mais il me semble bien que y'a un serveur pvp avec pas mal de H2 sur shanghai1.

Perso je suis avec 3-4 joueurs réguliers sur maduolan (pve ally). A toute.

Its quite correct as you describe. You dont have to install WOTLK it is more important that you will patch ur European version only too 3.0.3, everything above will not work(maybe it does but i dont want to try and later reinstall again:) )

- Install wow in english via my original.
- Install wow in english BC via my original.

- Install it in Any language u like, i use German.
- I want to play in English so which is the last patch? 3.0.3 not higher !!!!!!
-If you want see Chinese Charachters install the Font package as described in the Forum
- Download the Chinese WOW.exe (Patch3.0.5) via forum or drop me your email.
- Create an account ( with yours dedicated topics). Right but you need a chinese ID card!!! And Chinese E-Mail account. Use one of your trusted Chinese friends as this is very important in case of a hack!!!! I dont recommend to use a fake ID as described in the sticky!!!
- Buy a card at Seven Eleven has them or any Computer Shop
-Change your Realmlist to the Server where you create the CD KEY on.
-Start WOW and log in, choose the realm from realmlist CN1 and there you go

!!! If you create account and add the CD KEY its important you need 1 CD Key for each SERVER, You cannot access Shanghai 1 if you register the CD KEY on Beijing 1!!! I hope you can read Chinese other take a chinese friend to help you.

If really needed i can ask a chinese Friend to create an account for you.

Ahhhhhh my girlfriend have not taken my original CD from France !!!!!

Is there any problem if I download a WOW + WOW BC and then I put my old CD key which my brother will send to me???

But where can I find wow and wow BC on the web? Or maybe directly Shanghai?

Quel honte j'ai pas mes originaux avec moi mais parcontre je peut aisement recuperer les CD key via mon frere.

La vrai question est est ce que je peut installer wow et wow BC via un CD trouver sur le net ou le marche et ensuite y rentrer mes clefs CD?

Dois je m'assurer qu'il agit bien d'un wow europe?

Ou puis je trouver les install sur le net? Ou puis je trouver directement les originaux EU (cheaper) dans Shanghai?

Mais sûrement...au pire t'as les CD donc tu peux test...

Yes u can. Just download the trail client it is actually the full Version

Just make sure its not patched to 3.08 !!! U need 3.0.3 for China !!!

So I do everything.

I'm in 3.03, on the automatic launcher and on the log-in screen I can see v3.03. (It's funny because my log screen is the WOTLK screen with the dragon however I have only WOW et WOW BC)
The automatic launcher forces me to update so I make a shortcut with the original wow.exe.

Card, account ...are done. Here is I can see on th9. I hope it's ok. I want to join the server 1 shanghai.

But even with the good launcher (WowscapeLauncher, setting Shanghai area 1, ip 121.14.80.113) when I set my account and pass I can't reach the game because a patch is required and when I accept it, it's the 3.0.8.

you did what Stich say?

You need the Chinese wow.exe, replace your ori.exe (3.0.3 buy the chinese one (3.0.5). Then you change the realm name and use your shortcut to your wow.exe (chinese one).

Same as a crack ^^ Use chinese wow.Exe to crack your eng version in order to play wow througth chinese sevrer.

It should works.

If u do get it all working u should come to area 2 as there is foreign guild there "foreign shards". We are at server called warsong. We raid everyweek and do guild bgs. Community is really friendly and we can plevel you. Some of us got to 70 in 4 days playing time. Our guild is still growing who knows maybe we will have enough fol for 25 PPl raids. Come join us!

So if someone has the same problem...

Pay attention in the Wow folder there is now two realmist. Just rename it as usual!!!!

Warsong is pvp....if the latency isn't crap come join foreign shards... U should just powerlevel a rogue it only costs 3 cards (90 yuan) to 1-70 in 3-4 days it will be a lot cheaper than buying new char plus u have a less risk of getting ur acc stolen. We have like 10-15 pol online every evening and everyone speaks eng. We are horde. Look a first post on area 2 beijing "want to join" forum. We will welcome everyone

It seems wrong.

So you go to D:\world of warcraft_cn\Data\frFR\realmlist.wtf

delete

and write (with notepad):

set realmlist cn1.grunt.wowchina.com

for the realms. as I knwow most of foreigners ar in the guild called Valor on 山丘之王

I am planning to buy an account on taobao. The character is on this server.

Im not sure about the latency shanghai-beijing but i dun think it will be bad. We are on 战歌 server 2nd realm. I suggest u just train a char. Im telling ya its real fast if u plevel. About 3 days playing time and u got ur own lvl 70 char.

I don't think 3 days playing alone is possible...I'm 50 with 3 days playing. Ok, maybe i have spend some time AFK but I guess 4-5 days is the minimum to reach 70 alone =)

I'm talking biout powerleveling...u get runs from 70s mages. You do quests till 20 and then scarlet, zulfarak,stratholme and then hellfire dungeon... 1-50 costed 2500g for me or one card and 50-70 is about 2 cards or 5k g. Since g is easy to get on cn servers pleveling is reasonable. P.S I hit 60-70 in 16hrs afking.

4-5days is really good if ur solo lvling

Im currently 62 and Im at 6 days and 12h precisely

but I still appreciate the leveling (exclusively in fact), I also take time to play around; yesterday spent 4hours in BRD, didnt bring me much xp at lvl 61...
