Haven't played the game for two months now (yearly break) but yeah seems tempting. Hope you guys will consolidate enough to form an everlasting guild. Right now my problem is the payment method (no credit card here), so if there's some alternative methods and a few guides like we did for the mainland battlenet(and might help the newcomer as well) I'd be glad to hear from them

No need for the Credit Card there are easy ways of buying the cards from the NET to charge your account.

i bought mine in taobao. 200 rmb for 3 months flatrate playtime.

Tell you what, my plans were to wait for cataclysm so that the leveling would be moar fun, so... that's what I'm doing.

Are there any kinds of 10 free trial things in TW? Because then I wouldn't mind...

there was m8. But it was before many taiwan servers were locked. The thing is you need to charge your account directly after you sign up. If not then you could not log in to the game.

Its pretty lame i think .. whats the point of trial if you have to pay asap.

You might be wrong the trail time was not given because of the server lock. Sinc they open for new accounts maybe the trail time is still availible but I cannot promise it. Just give it a try fluber it better to create an account now then later I bet they will server lock again before cataclysm to prevent more Chinese players flooding over!!

Follow the link from bolomas thread "if thing turn bad in Chinese wow" . Basicly go to wowtaiwan, create your trail account, you can use your passport number! That's all I could even figure it out only with google translate.

Hey guys you should create an "/english" channel. Like this if you meet english speakers outside of the guild it's convenient to stay in touch. On mainland all the realms with foreigners have it(see my sig).

Yes and that is the point Because if you wana create a TW-WOW account you can use your OWN passport, meaning you can use your US, French, Swiss, German ... passport. I guess it should work with most countries.
It's not like for CN-WOW, where you need a Chinese ID card to create an account.
Just get your passport number and go ahead and try to create an account. It doesn't cost anything to create an account so nothing to loose.

I assume some have bought cards from there, but it seems that it doesnt work as smoothly as if you buy from taobao.

hey i might be able get taiwans cards for you guys. i live shenzhen and i am only 5 minutes from hongkong, the taiwan servers are part hk wow. I heard they sold in seven elvens in hongkong, i must got to hk every 30 days. they also sell usa and euorpe time card there i know that at game shops so i sure taiwan is there. i ask my hk friends about it

There is allways a risk in buying things from the internet, thats true, but I guess that bespalol bought actual cards that will be delivered by post, so it takes a couple of days.
A co-worker mentioned this to me where I work, when I wanted to buy cards and he told me they will be sent to the place I work.

bespalol & krasavchik next time look for a vendor that will sell you the cardnumber and pass and not the card, this way you can charge your account immediately.

From what I read and my own experience, you mostlikely will need a proxy server to be able to play.

I tried to play with and without a VPN and both is not truely sastisfying to me. I only have tried out 27net, I might give netpass a try though.
I decided on a DPS class due to the fact, that I would like to raid, but know that with my internet connection tanking or healing will be very difficult, if not impoosible.

At the moment I have with 27net:
In cities 300 to 500ms
Questing 200 to 400ms
5man dungeon 300 to 500ms

At certain times my ping will be higher and go up to 2000ms, which will force me to change to another server from 27net.

I guess it also depends where you live and how your internet connection is in general.

ping with proxy about 300 it's very big for PVPing.. ;/

ping in arena is most of the time sub 300 .

and how do you think is it playable?

Works OK for me around 150.

just set your realmlist back to EU or US.

TW is using the same game version as EU and US

I bought card in hk for tawain servers. but have problem, i ran in to wall. i download the europe version wow since faster, but wow.ex and realist some how put into my warcraftchina version. so when i launch warcraftchina it lauches euro version wow. well i had uninstall both versions. So install warcraftchina. So i decide to save downloader to another file. But thise crap easymule software keeps putting it back dam wow folder no matter if i tell it go another file. Now i am try find way uninstall easymule, it will not unistall piece junk. thats where i am right now.

if you have windows, you can just put emule on "block". If WowCn launches Eu, as you said because of the realmlist, try to change the config.wtf to the stuff you want.

i was winder if anybody had or know rar version of warcraft usa. Dam the loader from eu and us are dam slow. took 2 days just get basic i live shenzhen little far

it might be temp.
check on low pop tie. middle of night or early morning.
lets hope for you its not locked permanent as before.
and lets hope it will be locked permanent as soon as possible, because it''l fight temporary lagspikes on peak hours.

y... he is locked... i tryed many times, but cant .... when server ll close? i mean wht day and wht time!? can somebody tell me!? plz...

if the server reached full capacity the only thing left is to wait untill someone delete/transfer and then you should be able to jump in the hole.
