No news from Netease so far on a release date.

May would be a bit long. That would mean 3.2 is going to last for 8 month in total.
What are all the ppl going to do?
I mean, until August of this year most have been running SW for too many times. Now its TOC. In a couple of weeks there is nothing left to do for most ppl.
3.3 better come in the next couple of weeks, if not ppl will get too bored of the current content and just leave and play another game or move to TW servers.

Personally I bet on February or March 2011. At least enough time for ppl to enjoy the new arena season and the 3 wasted tiers of content. If it last longer I think more ppl will leave mainland for Taiwan.

Plenty of Chinese have been moved back again to china there are several statistics out in the internet how many chinese merged taiwan before wotlk release, moved back to china after wotlk release and now move back to taiwan to enjoy Cata.

I have no clue but i would also say that netease waits to finish the arena season before 3.3 will be released that makes common sense.

Indeed..some of my guild members have moved back to Taiwanese servers already.

As for the current arena season, I have almost 75k honor points (the maximum allowed) stored as a level 79. I've bought a piece of Deadly Gladiator and will hold off on buying more as I also believe the next season will start before ICC comes out.

Meh, 75,000 Old Honor Points is comically easy to get. You'll get the gear in no time, haha.

Holding back a patch only for those who play Arena?
Yeah I know, Netease will probably wait, because of the gear that comes with 3.3. So it doesn't make sence releasing the patch earlier.

I don't know the % of players who actualy are in a Arena group AND play on a weekly basis.
But waiting for the next season to release the new patch is just BS IMO.
The actual content is ok at the moment and there are still some things to do, but honestly 3 or 4 more month, by then non Arena players will be borred as hell.

So what are the options, what can you do?

Level another alt, when you allready have 10 characters on the realm you are playing and therefor need to make a new account?
Do your 10'000'000 daily?
Try get all those super cool Achievements?
Start cooking & Fishing?
Do BG's until you have 5 sets of PVP gear?
Do Arena, even you suck and hate Arena?

Or just go to TW servers and enjoy Cata?

So guess what will hapen in 1 or 2 month from now with no new content, besides the people who allready left (again) to TW servers.

Its not about the arena gear its about the season stats , they cannot (oh yeazh we are in china) break the arena season due to its ranking system, but who knows.

My personal suggestion get urself a account in taiwan and china so u can choose what u want to do ...enjoy Cata or raid some 5 man dungeons or TOC in China with friends.

I am still hoping for 3.3 to come within a month.
So I checked the Arena Seasons lenght for US servers and it seems that the average length for Arena 1 to Arena 7 was around 20 weeks. Only Arena 8 was longer due to the fact that they just let it run until the release of Cataclysm this month.

Arena 7 started on September 8th 2010 on Chinese servers, so its been like 15 weeks allready. So saying 3.3 would come in January wouldn't be that wrong. Or are there other arguements?

If not considering Arena, the new patch should be allready out.
3.2.2 was released on September 23rd 2009 and 3.3 on December 8th 2009 on US servers. So even for the PVE content it was possible on US servers to have the new patch within 3 month.

If it takes any longer, than I can't understand the reason for it.

this read on 178 com. the prediction is jan 17. netease said after arena season 7, before before season 8 u see the realease of beloves patch,"i do real care be like tbc again". netease sayed if there no complication with government it will release.

Patch 3.2 was only intended to last for 3 month. But of course there was arena that couldn't stop.
Yeah Arena is important, but as mentioned before, the average length is 20 weeks, so 3.3 can come. Arena can be over

Oh and of cours, China got WOTLK just a couple of month ago, so we can not have 3.3 yet, because when the rest of the world got WOTLK, they had to wait for 1 year to see the Lich.
Hmm, but why did the rest of the world start with 3.0 and we with 3.2?
So, if we should wait 1 year for 3.3, why didnt Netease start with 3.0?

my prediction is govrnment not let relaease path utnil another year or 2, then see it when netease rnews their contract then realease of patch.

Arena Season 7 Tournament ended a few days ago, and ppl using the Chinese client can already download the patch 3.3.5, aka the last patch of WOTLK including ICC and the Ruby sanctum.

Pretty much sure that cataclysm will be released around the end 2011 beginning 2012

So currently I would be patching my game to 3.2.2a for Wotlk...right?

Rallist no need to patch until you get a "wrong version" error message when you try to login.

Official page already talks about the 3.3.5 patch content which incl. ICC and Ruby Sanctum raids.

I guess next monday, tuesday 17-18 after maintenance the patch will go live......maybe Lee was right with his insider news a few days ago

Dungeon Finder really sucks if you're a DPS, tsk tsk. Tank queues are instant while DPS queues are an upward of 40 minutes, on average.

Tauchiro dungeon finder of 3.2.2.a exists since vanilla wow. The one we talk about is a totally new system. It finds groups for you across many realms, and teleport you into the instance once the group is made, like the bg system.

Sup I remember having 15min queues as DPS on Taiwan. But yeah, tank = instant queue, healer = 1min queue.

I was meaning the new super cool random dungeon finder. Just as Bolo said, you get ported to the dungeon and group with ppl from different realms.

Also new will be, that you can do as many heroic runs a day as you can, if you choose a random dungeon and are lvl80 of course.

Ever wanted to run that dungeon in Stormwind as Horde, but couldn't because you were only lvl20? Well soon you can, with the new SUPER cool random dungeon finder.

As for DPS, while I was leveling it was around 20 to 30 min and at 80 it was between 5 to 10 min.
As 80 DPS it aint that bad, if you have a gathering job. Just farm during waiting period.

If you are in a super cool guild, you can group up with Tank and healer and 2 other DPS and dont have to wait at all.

And if you are not in a super cool guild or not in a guild at all, well at least you can run heroics without looking for a group.

So yeah, me is excited.

To be honest, as a dps the stockade was the worse dungeon you could get through finder, caus ppl would just rush through last boss, and almost no blue drops. Sucked to wait for 15-20min just to arrive there lol.
