Heya again guys and girls...i think i'm pretty much good to go with joining you lot, but, i can't seem to find my addons folder on windows 7. I would normally bang all the good stuff in there and let the magic begin....but..where the hell is it??
Any help from seasoned wow and W7 users would be hugely appreciated.
Then i can finally get some proper gaming done hehe

Cheers

It's still in the same place where it's always been : )
Inside your wowfolder is another folder called interface/addons

So it might look like this depending where you installed wow.
C:/worldofwarcraft/interface/addons

Thanks for the quick reply matey.
My problem is that on other windows systems i did indeed have c:/wow/interface/addons but on windows 7 it seems to only have c:/wow/data/enGB/Interface and then no addons file after it.
I'm considering just installing Curse client and letting that do it instead.....

Windows 7 is different than windows xp, in that every accounts aren t administrators account by default. I think your problem is you don t have permissions to modify files in your wow folder. So the game isn t creating anything and that s also why you can t patch it correctly.

What you need to do is either turn off the UAC of windows or give file edit permissions of the wow folder to your user.

I don t have windows 7 so i can't describe the process but your favourite search engine will surely point you to a couple hundred thousands results.
