You choose either one of them.

Hopefuly later we will find a way to play in english. I'll check everyday for an updated simplauncher (skeleton.exe) which hopefuly will allow us to bypass those crash. For now the chinese client+Idelocalizator seems a viable solution.

We can focus more on group gameplay and less on lore and I'm sure it won't be such a burden.

I'd like to remember people that many guilds have fusioned for cataclysm and I hope this client burden will bring over even more english speakers, so we can help eachother to overcome all those difficulties and make our time playing more enjoyable. @pouetpou, yeah i got the same problems, first time disabling the firewall worked, but then it hanged during the install, and then impossible to get it started again... guess will have to wait they sort this out...

Ok I think the same here, I was thinking about a lack of memory space maybe..allthought the error message translated didn't notice that...

There was a problem on the old streaming TBC downloader you need to have the same amount of gb on your C drive free, even you had chosen to install it on D.

Make sure C has enough space.

i have cleared around 10gb at that time thats all i could free since my c drive is onlz for windows with 30gb

I have place this morning the installer on /D where I have 30G free space in order to install it here.
Is it doesn't ask anything, I think it will install at the place where you put your installer.

no dice for me.. i keep getting MPQ errors for my chinese instal. Malice is still chugging along.

This installer is driving me nut. Either I get errors, or it crashes, or can't connect...

I bought some dvd's in the shops here the installation get stuck after 2 hours (after not before it was just slow then) at 18% i knew it stuck because i watched it for 1 hour

I checked on the web and seems many ppl have this with the DVD so just for everyone to know dont buy the copies.

Guys, I would give up trying to install right now. I tried the entire day yesterday (from 2pm to 3am) to no avail (crashes; highest I got to was 40% in the afternoon).

It worked this morning when I tried at 9:15, finishing a bit after 11 (this is an upgrade installation from WotLK, not full).

For full install, I'd probably try the full rar download (around 15+ gigs) or buy the CDs.

I just checked u town (local electronic store) and they just recieved the DVD so o joined to see the install cause I was courious if it's really the full version.
They had no problems with it also other people installed it on their laptops and no issue.
After install it just downloaded the last 50mb.

The box looked diffrent then the one on the wow webpage also it had 39.9 rmb printed on the side but he still sold them for 50 lol at least that's the price he wanted from me.
Size of the box was similar to an old VHS tape.

Ok small update ignore my post earlier,

I made an image of the dvd using Daemon tools and then it installed perfectly

Just logged in on Avanti and im not drowning but on some kind of goblin boat where used to be the racetrack in 1k needles

i don't know why i'm fussing over the chinese install.... it's not like i'll understand it without the wife sitting next to me and explaining every little detail...

Keep getting MPQ errors from my stream... tomorrow a market on the other side of town will have the chinese CDs,, they have the taiwan, but i will not give up on some zombie form of wow with the crazies!

I think the streaming client will work fine in a few days, when less people try to use it. For now either try the ftp links or buy the dvds in the street.

I am gonna beat the streaming horse until i have time to buy a 10rmb disc if that fails.

Until then keep the Crazies going! Addon options for chinese, English fix, anything! hahaha

Ok got to a page with the big official chinese loader. Has a big bar for 16gb, 1/3rd red,,, 1/3rd yellow (no GB in that bar 0.o?),,, 1/3rd green... when can i play!?!?!?!

orange can play but might have bad ping or lags

Warcraft.cn gave out an official list of stores where we could buy the full client. There's one right next door where i live so i'm gonna check it out tomorrow.

Quick question about the streaming launcher. I've placed into the Chinese WoW folder, seems to be working fine and fast as well but i have a feeling it's not downloading a patch to update the old client but the cata client only? Or is it 3.3.5-4.1.0? Need some clarification.

How did you get the upgrade installation from wotlk? All i see are Cataclysm Clients streamed without the wotlk update.

Streaming seems to be working a lot better now 70% in 20 mins ish

after the first streamer, it has taken me 6 hours to get 1 GB of the 15gb for full install... with Mal loading hers on the same connection i think we are slowing eachother down though.

I had a backup copy of WotLK Chinese version (3.3.5). I downloaded the 6.2 gigs from bittorent and the launcher did the rest.

Just have Malice or yourself download. After everything's installed and good to play, copy the entire WoW folder to the other computer.

CTM seems very exciting but I have to tell you, from the moment you login and you see the intro movie, the first word is not PAIN! but some squeeki chinese voice that says something like moawaaa! you feel like you never wanted to see this yet. you come to oggrimar you get the quest why thrall is not leader you finish it still half knowing why because all is chinese it sux.... your better off waiting for the english version i knew i would be...

Time to DL the youtube versions of that content in english so i dont have to worry about my "experience" as a player being ruined by a chinese voice over. hahaha
