I have a human mage I just started tonight on MaDuoLan named Alberic, currently level 6. It's actually easier than I thought it would be to play the Chinese version. Luckily I have grade school posters of Chinese characters all over my walls, so I can just look up and sometimes find a translation of one or 2 characters. Then it's just a matter of finding the creatures I need to kill! That and I've already spent way too much time playing this game, so I have a good idea what the quests probably are, even without ever playing Alliance before... So I think I can manage the Chinese version allright, allthough I am missing out on the finer details of the story line.

Quick question again! Sorry, I'll have a lot of these and let me thank you beforehand for any help! In the start game for the Alliance (human anyway) I found a small town outside of the noob area pretty close to Stormwind City. I found a first aid trainer and a cooking trainer. Are there other trainers there or do you need to go to the main city? Usually with a mage I'd tend to do tailoring and enchanting, but I might go the herbalism/alchemy route because it's a little easier I think with the language issue I have .

And any other pointers would be appreciated! Not just for playing in Chinese, but for playing Alliance as well! I plan on getting lost in Stormwind and Ironforge quite a bit!

Pendragon and me have begun 2 mages yesterday on pvp realm 罗宁 luo ning (shanghai 1). Still dont know if we will push the epxerience further (I sure hope so)

Genghis, of course there are everywhere, but you will see by yourself that you will always prefer to go to stormwind or ironforge.

An advice: go download wow cartographe. It's in French and English. U'll find all the npcs and mobs on an interactive map. I think most of the French use it!

Unless you play on Saturday and Sunday mornings, it'll be hard for you to find a lot of people in the guild at that time imo... Have you joined the guild yet?

Haven't Joined the guild yet, basically because I haven't found anyone online yet thats in the guild. I do a /who search often but no avail yet. I'll try to login on the weekends and find someone. Regardless I'll keep leveling up and playing, doing fine with the Chinese so far ^.^

Hey everyone, I've soloed to about lvl 30 now, and Still haven't found anyone from the guild on, which leads me to think either I'm on the wrong server or we need to set up a time to meet.

Second, I have concerns about playing a priest all the way from the States. The lag I get is bad, its' about 800ms-1400ms and always in the Red. I'm not sure if I would be able to properly heal a group/raid with this much lag. What are your opinions, should I restart to a class focused on casting damage like a Warlock or Mage? Thanks!

well, u'r gonna need to set up a time i'm afraid.
Then, If you play a priest from the US, it's gonna be hard to play with a group according to your lag.
I play a warlock from France, it's cool, I can play. But madinina stopped his warrior from France, unplayable and sweetylord stopped her hunter and mage from France too. They're on European servers now.
My best advise would be to either leaving the Chinese servers or find morning players.

I've switched to a Warlock and like it a lot. Char name is Fayr, and I am leveling fast. I understand why you say it would be best for me to play on US servers due to my times, but I will be moving to Shanghai in less than a year and I want to start getting to know the community and get a character up to 70 now. I can meet you around 9pm Shanghai time online. I'm usually in the newbie area doing quest. Also what is a good warlock build for soloing? Try to find me, named Fayr human warlock.
