I strongly doubt the date you mentioned Hermann. ICC has just opened, Lich King still hasn't been downed, not to mention Ruby Sanctum. Although it'd be awesome if Netease remade the world now, with the Cataclysm talents, except with patch 3.5.5 content. Just like before.

Cataclysm talents are linear to the point of insanity. At least you guys still get freedom in your specs and hybrids aren't dead. I remember hybrids being a helluva good time.

Lol Uru, Lychking has been downed, in normal and heroic mode 10man and 25man. All pugs on our realm already open the ICC 3rd boss on heroic mode all the time(meaning someone in the pug already downed LK in normal mode). Oh and Ruby sanctum is a short run like Sartharion.

So yeah it s gonna be old very fast for a lot of ppl who raided in normal conditions.

On our servers H 25 ICC is also open alkready. Ruby Sanctum is already open? Didnt go there up to now

Well originally verison 3.3.5 did run only for 4 months before 4.0.1 hit - which was also only running 2 or 3 months prior to cataclysm release.

So May for 4.0.1 patch is not impossible.

nobody knows- but my server is as busy as ever,
pug groups, if which the standard of mediocre can be established by is only downing 1-4 in ICC. at the end of BC pugs downed 1-7 SW in 2 hours. i think there is quite a bit of room before the boredom sets into the average player. (who never played TW)

and as long as the servers are quite busy i don't see any reason for blizzard to push cata into china, while they can still make money where they are now.

my personal hope is cata is quite sometime away as i'm enjoying the content where it is.

I really doubt Cata is coming to China in May because HELLO- has anyone noticed we're in CHINA??? Bureaucracy RULES like an iron fist- they'll never just wave it though. Do you know how many kickbacks they'd miss out on? I wouldn't count on hearing anything until July...because they'll have to review an entire new model and not just a partial expansion this time. Not to mention if they opened it too early there would be no way that 'casual' gamers would be equipped to start it. I think someone mentioned that it would take 10 weeks of doing the daily 5 man to get the T10 (and that's just the first step in the gear).

Lowly people like me in a guild with 4 members (and they've all seemed to have disappeared before Spring Festival) could never get gear that quickly. I just BARELY reached a gs of 5201 today...and it's not even that good. So once you guys have finished equipping your regular guildies pick up some PUGs with marginal gear- we'd appreciate it.

The rumor i heard not until August about same time wlk came out.

Don't worry about gear. With Cata, you will be able to level up to 85. It will be similar like when TBC or WOTLK came out. You will be replacing your gear faster than you wish, even if you have all 277 gear you will replace the items at 85, as soon as you are able to run heroic dungeons.
For most ppl the greens and blues that they will be getting from dungeons and quests during leveling from 80 to 85, will be much better than what they have.
Also there will be new players and they surely will not run WOTLK heroics, when they hit lvl80 to first get T9 and then T10, just so they can level up from 81 to 85.

For those living in China and playing CN-WOW for a couple of years, probably know that Cata could come as soon as May or as late as Dec 2012. Anything is possible in this country.

Enjoy the game as it is and if you get totaly borred of WOTLK then you still can go to TW and enjoy Cata there.

Cata is a bit different to all previous addons, feels a bit more like going 'back to the roots'. Leveling up to 85 felt as quick as before 70 -> 80, but really like the stories. The first greens you get are at ICC item level. Recommend everyone to quest through all new areas!

Gear:....hm in the beginning not that easy, it's not like you hit 85 and get swamped with epix! Blue is the new purple!....at least until you start raiding (but you really need top notch blue gear for that) or you spend a shit load of resources on crafting your gear (The recipes, patterns etc. you also only get for resources). OK this is China, but in Europe it took people quite some time to get to raid-ready gear.

Dungeons..well quite nicely done, not as easy as BC or WOTLK.

In case you were already bored by BCs or WOTLK's content after playing it all you'll be bored fast with CATA unless you find an active guild.

So Salino, what you're basically saying is that without raiding we'll be stuck with just mediocre gear? Right.

I play in the US region (I'll be back to TW when I get the MyCard) and I'm in a semi-decent raiding guild. I raided for 2 weeks then decided to step down until the Summer. Gear acquisition while raiding is fucking insane, whereas if you're not raiding, you get the 346s from the JP vendor.

Just as a guideline:

iLevel 333 is equivalent to iLevel 187/iLevel 200 gear in Wrath in terms of tiering.
iLevel 346 is equivalent to iLevel 200 gear in Wrath in terms of tiering.
iLevel 359 is equivalent to iLevel 200/iLevel 213 gear in Wrath in terms of tiering.
iLevel 372 is equivalent to iLevel 213 gear in Wrath in terms of tiering.

Yep, right. Played with my old classmates in Germany for some time but due to the timezone difference i seldom got to raid with them. Farming resources & gear was not easy as everyone was farming the same spots.

Assuming Cata is going to be the last addon they'll try to stretch the content as long as possible.

Will make use of the time until CN Cata release & start leveling my DK on MaDuoLan.

I hope they won't release it like they did with wotlk, really sucked to have to skip ulduar because nobody wanted the gear there anymore, not mentioning the heroic dungeons and Naxx when undergeared.

In the other end when I see how they toy with class balance in cataclysm I don't feel impatient either. Hot fixes and spell changes are applied on a current basis, I kinda liked it when a class would play the same for a very long period (paladins rip)
