It seems like everyone is screwed up once a new patch releases.

So now, I would like to summarise the basic steps you are supposed to do before yelling "my problem is still not resolved".

1. Check the forum whether the latest version (i.e. Cataclysm 4.3.4) and yours matched.

2. If they are, that's good. You may need to download the Chinese launcher, or just remove all the launchers. Either way works.

3. If they AREN'T, you need to revert everything back to the original client. (Involves either changing realmlist.wtf, launcher.exe, wow.exe or executing repair.exe for a hardcore reset.)

Then proceed to the latest patch, and follow the bolomas' instructions.

Either way, check the server status page first (there's a link near the banner of the forum). The problem isn't always the client.

Can't help you much if the problem is "Launcher cannot obtain patching information". Maybe this will help you.

Getting "Cannot stream required archive data. Please check network connection" Re installed and still getting this error. I cleared the cache and it appeared to work and started doing a Chinese update. Once it was done back to the same error. And yes before I changed to the Chinese realmlist I let the updater update totally.

Launcher Log:

EDIT: Looks like it was a firewall issue. Just by posting here I seem to be able to figure it out Smile

Anyone else having problems lately? I have been playing fine all week
and now im getting this:

I doubt the servers are down, the game isnt even loading to the
account sign in screen. Its just lagging to start up then finally
I get that error message.

I have been playing fine with everything patched to 4.3.4.15595
so its nothing ive done or changed, so im confused to why now its
not working as before Sad

Any idea's ?

Kadava try to rename the launcher.exe into something else, see if it gets you to the login.

Nope I had already tried that, same as I had tried the backup
exe and launcher of 4.3.3 and still the same.

EDIT: This is strange, I just tried again and it worked fine! .. didnt change nothing at all, BUT now its just crashed and not working again. Servers still up
so its def not that.

Did you try to clear your cache? Try to change the patch line into realmlist.wtf with xxxxx instead of a web address.

My client is working fine so it's a bit hard to understand the cause.

About the fonts you need to add, if you want to run a french client, you should use the old fonts, because with the recent fonts, you will have issue with some accents and the non-breaking-space preceding ? : ! and ; in French.

Yeah, sorry. I forgot to mention that.
The spaces occur in letters such as í ó ú æ á ß ä å é etc. as well as in Cyryllic alphabet.

Hi. Sorry to sound like a major noob - but I need help.
I really want to play WoW on the chinese server, but keep the client in english... So this solution is perfect for me. But apparantly I am too stupid to get it right!!!!

I downloaded the US client, but asfar as I amaware, the patch is a later one than the chinese one.

After I follow all the steps mentioned, I still get no joy. It will just open the american one I guess.

One other thing I noticedd is, when I dl the american client, there is no repair tool or updater.

I really want to play, but so far I cant make it happen. Can anyone help a stupid idiot to get this working for me? >< I will be forever grateful!!!!! <333333

The chinese client will update Wed/Thursday to 5.0.4 (the version that the US version is currently on). Can you wait until then? Razz

Oh seriously? I guess I can wait then... So then once the two versions are the same,I just need to change the .wtf file to log onto the chinese servers?

(And is there any way I can know when the patch has updated? I'm hoping it might be ready as soon as I finish work haha. I know, I am so needy and greedy Mad
